Black Maxi, White Top

Maxi skirts are my go-to piece when I want to be super comfortable but still look somewhat cute. Once I had the skirt on, the abbreviated top from Loft was my next choice, but it just didn't look right. Then I added this necklace. Yup, that's the same necklace I featured on Monday from The Shopping Bag and it's already making a second appearance. I'm telling you, this outfit was not the same without it. One good necklace can take some thrown together pieces and make them look like an outfit.

I'm up early today because I have to work, and I haven't even had coffee yet, but I hear the water boiling so this is where I'll leave you. In an effort to cut back on caffeine, we donated our coffee maker and started using our Chemex or French Press in the morning. It's a little more of a process since it can't be set the night before, but woah the flavor is worth it! Happy Thursday. :)

  1. So cute! I love the neutrals. I still haven't gotten my hands on a maxi/boxy top (or crop top) combo and I really want to!

  3. This top actually looks really great with the skirt. And I think you're right, the necklace was a game changer. It's really interesting how accessories make such a huge impact on an outfit.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend, and thanks for inspiring me to go make a coffee ;)

    1. Replying to my own comment, what a DWEEB! :p This post actually was just extremely helpful in helping me come up with an idea for my first sponsored blog post. The company asked me to discuss leather bracelets. I knew I wanted to incorporate a bohemian theme, but thanks SO much, now I know how I can tie everything together by making the post about the importance of accessories. THANK YOU! (I'll definitely give you a shoutout for the inspo when I post!)

    2. hahaha you're hilarious! I'm so glad I was able to inspire a blog post, and how exciting that it's sponsored! Congratulations!! I will definitely be checking out your blog and watching for that post. You're so right though! Accessories can really change the entire feel of an outfit, making it more casual, fun, or dressy. I'm looking forward to reading your take on it!
