About Me

Hello!
My story is best told in three chronological parts. If you want to understand the place from which this blog is written, keep reading!

Me + Fashion

Ever since I was a little girl, probably 5 or 6 years old, I've had a fascination with clothing. Although I was a major tomboy, one thing could bring me inside and keep me busy for hours: paper dolls. I got my first American Girls paper doll (Felicity to be exact!) at an early age and quickly became bored with the few outfits she had. I ended up tracing her clothes to design my own, and I still have my blue pencil case full of dolls and outfits I made.
My personal relationship with fashion is a little more rocky. I was a stubborn girl, which if you know me is probably not a shock, and when I think of clothes, one story always pops into my head. One Sunday, my mom had me all dressed up for church in this itchy, frilly, dress that I had no interest in wearing. I don't remember why I hated it so much, but I decided to take scissors and cut right up the skirt to make a point. My mom still made me wear it. Yup. My passion for clothing goes way back.

Me + Dan

I met my husband through a mutual friend right before my last semester of college. At the time, Dan had no interest in a girlfriend, and I was pretty much fed up with boys, so we became good friends with no interest in being more. Because neither of us was looking for a relationship, we were able to be completely open with each other about our hopes, fears, and frustrations. Our first date was actually a double date because one of Dan's friends thought one of my friends was cute and wanted to meet her. They didn't work out, but soon after that, Dan asked me to be his girlfriend, and about nine months after that, he asked me to marry him. We were married on June 7, 2014, and I'm happy to say we are still the best of friends.

Me + The Blog

Somewhere between paper dolls and Dan, I discovered fashion blogs. I've been a blogger for a few years now with a crochet blog (yes, I'm a nerdy crafter) and a teaching blog, but my secret wish has always been to have a personal style blog. My biggest hindrance, aka excuse, was that I didn't have someone to take my picture every morning or night. Dan took away that excuse by being the most patient person I know. With no formal training, he has taken the time to watch tutorials, ask for advice, and simply practice photography to be my right hand man with a camera. In April 2015, I launched Coffee.Clothes.Repeat. I've learned a lot along the way about what works or doesn't work for me. I've also made some friends and gained quite a bit of respect for other bloggers out there! I couldn't be happier with the reception my blog has gotten and I'm excited for what is coming.

So, now that you know my past, what can you expect from my future?

I promise to continue to bring you authentic posts, full of clothes I actually own and wear, accompanied by a commentary that will hopefully make you crack a smile.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to email me at coffeeclothesrepeat@yahoo.com

Until next time,
Stephanie
